The Rise of Modern Turkey, 1906–1939 Database will be on trial access until December 11, 2024.

The Rise of Modern Turkey is a collection of documents owned by the British Library. Focusing on the international aspects of the decline of the Ottoman Empire from the beginning of the twentieth century to its official end after the First World War, it also deals with the emergence of Turkey as a nation-state from the Young Turk revolution in 1908 and 1909 to the proclamation of the Turkish Republic in 1923, then through post-war modernization and secularization programs and territorial integration until the death of our great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the outbreak of the Second World War.
