Working Conditions for Part-Time Students in METU Library;
1. Part-time students have to enough with GPA and not to have disciplinary punishment. GPA of:
• At least 2.00 for licence students; for the postgraduate program, students must be at least 3.00.
• English prep program students and undergraduate / graduate programs is not required GPA requirement for first-year students. However, the English prep program, students must be enrolled in the program for the first time.
2. Part-time students, according to the state budget and needs are taken into consideration at the beginning of the academic year.
3. The students who worked during the fall, if needed, during the spring and in the next academic year can continue to work.
4. Maximum working time; 15 hours per week, 60 hours per month.
5. Since January 15, 2016 to be effective gross wage paid per hour; TL 7,37 for the English preparatory program and undergraduate students, graduate program is TL 8.80 for students.
6. Part-time students in our library;
• Weekdays 8:45 to 17:30 pm or 17:30 to 23:00 or from
• Weekend 09:00 - 21:00 can work from. Only one of these options is preferable.
7. Termination of Employment Contracts;
• Part-time students in Departments must to fill “Working Part-Time Student Tracking Form" for the registration. Students who complete the form at the library cannot continue to work.
• Students who continue to work in the library, educational Purchase within 10 days from the start of the period and should provide information about the status of the Inventory, Registration Department continues to work. The student employment contract is terminated without notice within 10 days.
• The Head of Department is responsible of the evaluate the student’s work performance. Performance may be finished by a decision of the Head of Department responsible for the student's work not deemed satisfactory.
