Book Collection

The METU Library offers a comprehensive collection comprising 5342.728 printed books and 1.532.082 electronic books, supporting the academic and research needs of its users.

Printed materials are classified according to the Library of Congress Classification System and are made accessible through an open-shelf arrangement. In this system, subjects are organized hierarchically into main and subcategories: letters represent the main subject areas, while numbers denote more specific subtopics.

Both printed and electronic books can be accessed via the Library Catalog (OPAC).

To locate printed materials efficiently, users are advised to pay close attention to the Call Number and Availability (Status) information displayed in the catalog results.
